These terms govern your use of this website, run by Vectis Works. By using the site you accept them.

Plainly: using the site means you accept these terms.

II. What the site is for

The site describes the services Vectis Works provides to manufacturers. Nothing on it is an offer to sell or a binding commitment. Any engagement is governed by a written agreement signed by both parties, and that agreement prevails over anything on this site where the two differ.

Plainly: the site explains our work; a signed contract is what binds us.

III. Our business emails

Vectis Works may send business emails to professionals whose roles relate to its services. Anyone who receives one can stop further messages by replying to it. Our privacy policy explains how we handle that information.

Plainly: we write to people at work about our services, and a reply stops it.

IV. Sample data

The dashboards, tables, charts and figures shown on this site, or in any sample we link to, use sample data. They are not results from any client and do not promise any outcome.

Plainly: every number you see here is illustrative, not a result or a promise.

V. How you may use the site

Use the site lawfully. Do not disrupt it, try to gain access you have not been given, probe or scan it for weaknesses, or copy it by automated means.

Plainly: use it normally and do not attack, break into or scrape it.

VI. Who owns the content

The text, graphics and other content on the site belong to Vectis Works or to those who license it to us. You may view and print pages for your own business reference. Rights in work we deliver to a client are set by that client's written agreement.

Plainly: the content is ours; you may read and print it for your own business use.

VII. Other sites and services

The site links to the main Vectis Works website at www.vectisworks.com and to a sample dashboard at shopfloordemo.vectisworks.com, and it loads its typeface from Google Fonts. Those services have their own terms, which apply when you use them.

Plainly: linked sites and the font service follow their own rules.

VIII. No warranties

The site is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied. Nothing on the site is professional, engineering, legal or financial advice.

Plainly: we make no promises about the site, and it is not advice.

IX. Limits on our liability

To the extent the law allows, Vectis Works is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or opportunities, arising from your use of the site. Our total liability for any claim relating to the site is limited to one hundred US dollars.

Plainly: our responsibility for anything to do with this site is capped at one hundred US dollars.

X. Indemnity

If your misuse of the site or your breach of these terms leads to a claim against Vectis Works, you agree to cover the resulting losses and costs, including reasonable attorneys' fees.

Plainly: if your misuse causes us a claim, you bear its cost.

XI. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee. Any dispute about the site or these terms will be resolved by binding arbitration held in Nashville, Tennessee, under the rules of the American Arbitration Association, except where the law does not permit arbitration.

Plainly: Tennessee law applies, and disputes go to arbitration in Nashville.

XII. General

If a court or arbitrator finds part of these terms unenforceable, the rest still applies. Not enforcing a term at one time does not waive it. These terms and our privacy policy together are the whole agreement about the site. We may revise these terms, and the effective date above shows when we last did.

Plainly: the rest stands if one part fails, and the date shows the latest version.
